Nursing Home
Tremont Health and Rehab. Center
Larry and I have been working as the Volunteer Chaplins since 2002. We started this ministry as part of our training to become ordained.
Sunday services
The 3rd Sunday of the month Larry and Jimmie Lu and the children do a Communion Church service for the residents. In addition to communion the residents enjoy music and a message of hope and God's love and salvation.
Bible Study
On the second thursday of each month Larry holds a Bible study for the residents. The residents have an oppertunity to really get involved and share what God's word means to them. They meet in an informal atmosphere and has really given the oppertunity for us to get to know the residents better.
Visitations
Larry and Jimmie Lu do visitations to the Nursing home residents. They hold conversations share Bible scriptures and offer prayer. They also give support to those residents who are facing end of life as well as support to their loved ones and room mates.

In Memory
Of our dear friend Ken Bowers. Ken was an inspiration to us and all his life toughed. He was an advocate for residents rights and very active in his "community" for as long as his health allowed. It was due to Ken and his work that helped the Chaplin program get back up and running. While we lost Ken in 2006 we rest assured that his reservations were made with Christ. We know that he now watches over us from heaven.
